Did you know that many of the people you
see working at St. Paul's are volunteers?
Our Volunteer Ministry are the
lifeblood of St. Paul's! They help provide support for the many liturgies and
activities that we are able to offer.
Below are just a few of the ways
that you, too can volunteer.
-
That friendly smile and
gracious voice you hear on the other side of the phone when you call
Saint Paul's is that of a volunteer. Our Front Desk is manned by
volunteers five days a week. If you like to have fun, laugh a bit
( well maybe a lot) and like to meet just some downright nice people ...
the Front Desk may be for you. If you have a couple of hours
a week to spare ... the Front Desk may be for you. If you want to learn
more about your parish ... the Front Desk may be for you. Call
Joey at 961-3023 if you would like more information.
-
Our Hospitality Ministers (ushers and greeters) are
very devoted to welcoming and assisting our parishioners and visitors at
all of the Masses.
-
Ever wonder who decorates the
church throughout the year, and how, like magic, the sanctuary is
changed from Ordinary time to Advent to Christmas, the starkness of
Lent, to the beauty of Easter? Our incredible volunteers come in
and decorate for the seasons and you don't have to have experience, just
a willingness to have fun and work with some really great people.
-
Ever have a person visit you at
your home or you or a relative at a Nursing Home to give you the
Eucharist and pray with you? These are specially trained
volunteers from our parish who truly are "Angels of Mercy".
-
Our liturgical ministries such as the people who read
at Mass, serve Communion, prepare the altar and the church environment,
and the altar servers are all volunteers.
-
Those wonderful musicians and
choir members give of their time and talent to provide us yet another
opportunity to give praise and prayer to God.
-
The outside gardens are cared for by volunteers.
-
Have your children in Faith
Formation classes? The St. Paul catechists have received
special training and prepare your children in their Catholic faith are
volunteers.
-
Workshops, retreats, prayer services are all assisted
by volunteers.
-
Our Newcomer/Welcoming Ministry
that provides information to new parishioners and assists them in
learning more about St. Paul's is once again ... volunteer staffed.
-
The many outreach ministries and parish organizations
who support the needs of our parishioners are also always in need of
volunteers.
These are only a few of the ways you
can help out.
Have some time to spare, a special God-given
talent, or a passion for helping others?
Please call 264-3316 for
more information
or download the Volunteer form and return it
to the Parish Office or in the box in the Narthex .
The Coordinator for that Ministry will contact
you.
WELCOME TO ST. PAUL'S !
